INTERNATIONAL STUDIES STUDENT ASSOCIATION
A departmental student union for the undergraduate International Studies program at Simon Fraser University
ABOUT US
We are your student voice at the School for International Studies. We are bound to our membership by this Constitution.
Along with organizing social and educational events to ensure a positive experience for students, the ISSA also works actively with the International Studies Department and SFU to address important and relevant issues that impact students, such as program funding, enrolment, student opportunities, and course availability.
You should participate to have a say in the development of your program, meet fellow IS students, get to know your professors better, build your resume, earn SFU service awards, and more.
The International Studies Student Association (ISSA) represents the interests and concerns of Simon Fraser University’s International Studies students. All undergraduate students currently taking at least one IS course are considered members of the Association, as are all students declared in its major, minor, honours programmes and IS master students (MAIS). The goal of the ISSA is to work with both the International Studies department and the Simon Fraser Student Society (SFSS) in order to make students’ time at Simon Fraser University as rewarding as possible.
